Shipping Policy — Rapid Layer Labs

Made to order in Edmonton

Our products are made to order in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Orders normally dispatch within 3–5 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Production time is separate from delivery time. We will contact you if your order experiences a significant production delay.

Shipping rates

All amounts below are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

  • Canada: $10 flat shipping per order, regardless of quantity.

  • United States: $10 base shipping plus a tariff allowance calculated at approximately 50% of the merchandise subtotal. We use $1 order-value tiers, rounding upward, so the allowance may be up to $0.50 above an exact 50% calculation.

  • Other supported international destinations: $20 flat shipping per order, regardless of quantity.

The applicable shipping charge is displayed at checkout before payment.

US orders with a merchandise subtotal above $250 CAD require a shipping quote. Please contact bradleyrowe@rapidlayerlabs.com before ordering, as checkout will not provide a shipping rate above this amount.

Free local delivery — Edmonton and surrounding area

We offer free local delivery to eligible addresses within a 50 km radius of our Edmonton studio. Enter your delivery address at checkout to check availability and select Local delivery when offered. Our usual made-to-order production time of 3–5 business days applies; production time is separate from delivery time.

Delivery and tracking

We ship using Chit Chats and its delivery partners. Delivery times vary by destination, service availability and customs processing.

You will receive a shipping confirmation when your order is dispatched, with tracking information where available. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates unless expressly stated.

Customs, duties and import charges

US checkout shipping charges include the tariff allowance described above to help cover import costs paid through our shipping service. This allowance is not a statement that a universal 50% customs rate applies to every shipment.

For destinations outside Canada and the United States, the $20 shipping charge does not include destination import duties, taxes or carrier clearance fees unless expressly stated at checkout. Customers are responsible for applicable charges not collected or prepaid by us.

If you receive an unexpected request for a charge you believe was already covered, please contact us with the notice so we can investigate.

Shipping addresses

Please check your shipping address carefully before placing an order. Contact us immediately if a correction is needed. We will make reasonable efforts to update it before dispatch, but changes may not be possible once the parcel has shipped.

If a parcel is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address supplied at checkout, we will contact you to arrange next steps. Any additional reshipping cost will be explained and agreed before reshipment.

Delayed, missing or damaged parcels

If your parcel is significantly delayed, appears lost or arrives damaged, email bradleyrowe@rapidlayerlabs.com with your order number. For damage, please retain the packaging and provide photos where possible.

We will work with the shipping provider to investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution. Carrier investigations do not limit your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
